Pedigree Pets
We guarantee the purity of breed and quality of all our animals. Each pet has complete documentation and is registered in international organizations.
What makes a pet pedigreed?
Pedigree pets are animals with documented ancestry that meet the standards of international breeding organizations. They have complete pedigrees and are registered in official registries.
Important to know
A purebred animal differs from a mixed breed by having documented origin and compliance with the breed standard. Mixed breeds are animals of mixed origin without documents that cannot be registered in international organizations.
Pet Family Center works only with purebred animals with a complete set of documents. We do not place mixed breeds or animals without documents on the platform.
When purchasing a purebred pet, you receive a guarantee of its origin, health, and compliance with the breed standard.
What is a breed?
A breed is a group of animals with common genetic characteristics, established by standards of international organizations. A purebred animal has documented ancestry and meets strict criteria for appearance, character, and health.
A breed is formed as a result of years of selective work by breeders, who select the best representatives to obtain offspring with desired qualities. Each breed has its own standard - a detailed description of the ideal representative.
Recognition of a breed occurs through international organizations (FIFe, WCF, FCI, etc.), which maintain registries of purebred animals and control compliance with standards.
Documents of a purebred animal
Each purebred animal must have a complete set of documents confirming its origin and status:
Pedigree
Official document containing information about the animal's ancestors for at least 4 generations. Includes names, titles, registration numbers of parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
Kitten/puppy metric
Primary document issued by the breeder at birth. Contains data on date of birth, parents, breed, color. The pedigree is issued based on the metric.
Classes of pedigree animals
Pedigree animals are divided into 3 classes:
Pet (domestic companion) — ideal for families seeking a loving companion
Pet class animals are intended exclusively for keeping as domestic pets. They have mandatory sterilization/castration and are not used for breeding.
The ideal choice for families who want a healthy, friendly companion without breeding plans.
Breed (breeding animal) — animals interesting for breeding
Breed class animals have the right to breed and are selected by health, exterior, and genetic qualities. They meet the breed standard and can produce quality offspring.
Suitable for experienced breeders who plan to breed purebred animals.
Show (exhibition animal) — animals with prospects for winning at shows
Show class animals maximally meet the breed standard and have prospects for victories in exhibition rings. They have outstanding exterior qualities.
Intended for participation in exhibitions and further use in breeding work to improve the breed.
Sterilization and castration
All Pet class animals in Pet Family Center undergo mandatory sterilization or castration. This is an important measure for the pet's health and to prevent uncontrolled reproduction.
Why it's important:
- Prevention of oncological diseases of the reproductive system
- Reduction of the risk of behavioral problems (marking, aggression, escapes)
- Increase in life expectancy
- Prevention of unwanted offspring
When it's performed:
The operation is performed at the optimal age (usually 4-6 months for cats, 6-12 months for dogs) after consulting with a veterinarian. All animals undergo a complete veterinary examination before the operation.
